The newest body of work is a collection of mixed media paintings inspired by a recent journey to the island nation of Cuba. These paintings illustrate a beautiful country, rich in colonial history influenced by the early European settlers, while also being a uniquely isolated nation, forever suspended in time. Cuba is a paradox of visuals, characterized by a faded, worn socialist infrastructure contrasted by the shiny classic relics of American nostalgia and prosperity.
