Transforming a Family Photo into Art
Working with one of their most cherished memories from a heartfelt family gathering, I was able to isolate just the head and shoulders of their mother Joan from the group photo into a brand new work of art. Joan's warm and engaging expression was ideal as a reference image for her individual painted portrait.
Honoring Both Parents
Many years earlier, in the 1980's, a piece of art had been created by another artist of their father as a head and shoulders portrait painting. Today, the family can now also honor their mother's memory in a similar fashion. Both paintings are now on display at home.
